Port Royal Speedway Gears Up for the 2nd Annual Ron Zimmerman Tribute Race

Port Royal, PA – July 31st, 2024 – Port Royal Speedway is set to host an exciting evening of racing action this week with the 2nd Annual Ron Zimmerman Tribute Race sponsored by Zimmerman Truck Repair and Zimmerman Truck Lines. This event promises incredible payouts for the Zimmerman Truck Repair limited late models, with a total purse exceeding $17,000.

The highlight of the evening will be the limited late model feature race, where the winner will take home a remarkable $6,000. Heat race winners will each receive $250, adding an extra layer of excitement to the early stages of the competition. Additionally, a $500 fast qualifier award will be presented to the driver who sets the quickest time in qualifying. The night will also include a $250 warrior award, a $250 hard charger award for the driver who advances the most positions, and a $100 longest tow award for the competitor who travels the furthest to participate.

Alongside the limited late models, the event will also feature the Weikert Livestock 410 sprint cars racing for $5,000 to win and the Selinsgrove Ford super late models racing for $4,000 to win. .

For the younger fans, Pennian Bank is sponsoring a kids' money scramble, ensuring a fun and memorable experience for kids in attendance between the ages of 12 and under.

Pit gates will open at 4PM, general admission gates will open at 5PM, hot laps will begin at 6PM, with racing action set to begin at 7PM. Tickets are available at the gate. Pit passes will cost $35, general admission access is $20, students between the ages of 13 and 18 are $10, and kids 12 and under are free.
