Port Royal Speedway Reschedules Lynn Paxton Tribute Race
Port Royal, PA – Due to rainfall received and additional rain forecasted throughout the day Saturday, Port Royal Speedway has made the decision to postpone this weekend’s scheduled Lynn Paxton Tribute Race.
The event will now be incorporated into the 74th Annual Labor Day Classic, presented by Foss Jewelers Inc. of Lewistown, set for Monday, September 1st. The rescheduled Tribute Race will carry an increased purse of $7,400 to win, while still honoring the originally planned bonuses of $630 to win a heat race and $630 to start the A-main.
In addition, the autograph session featuring legendary drivers like Keith Kauffman and other special guests has been rescheduled to take place during this season’s Keith Kauffman Classic on Friday, April 26th. Interviews will be conducted by Alan Kreitzer.
A potential makeup for the scheduled Australian Pursuit is still being discussed.
We thank all of our fans, teams, and sponsors for their continued support and understanding. Please stay tuned to our website and social media platforms for more updates as we gear up for a full season of thrilling racing action.
Port Royal Speedway will be back in competition on Saturday April 19th with Weikert's Livestock 410 sprint cars, Penske Racing Shocks super late models, and Penns Valley Meat Market 305 sprint cars. The night will also feature a kids candy scramble and it will be Camera & Autograph night.
