Camping

2024 - OVERNIGHT CAMPING REGULATIONS

Field only

  1. Camping location is in the field on the west side of the Agricultural barn/south side of the racing pits. Entrance to the camping area is from 8th Street.

  2. Rows 1, 4, 5, 6 & 7 have no hook-ups. Daily or weekend rates to be set on a yearly basis by JCAS (Juniata County Agricultural Society). A set rate will also be determined by the JCAS for the 8-day Juniata County Fair.

  3. Rows 2 & 3 have electrical service only. No water or sewer services are available. This location is reserved for the season but does not include the 3-Day Short Track Super Series Events in March 2024 and October 2024. It does include the 8-day Juniata County Fair. All season reserved sites are to be paid in advance by March 1, 2024.
    A. No sharing of electrical service. If you get caught sharing electric service, you will be suspended for the balance of the season and for the following calendar year. There will be no refunds.
    B. If your camper is parked at this location, you will be charged whether you are using the electric service or not.

  4. JCAS is the owner of the property. Campers may not sublet, sell, rent, or lease their camping spot.

  5. JCAS reserves the right to make changes to the camping area.

  6. Only 1 vehicle in addition to the camper is permitted in each camping spot.

  7. No overnight camping is permitted on any other portions of JCAS property without permission and then must also comply with these rules and any other rules applied at that time for an additional location.

  8. No open campfires or charcoal grills are permitted. Propane fires and propane grills are permitted in a controlled and maintained state with adult supervision.

  9. No loud music or boisterous behavior will be permitted at any time on JCAS property. Quiet time is 11:00 pm each night until 12:00 pm (noon) the next day.

  10. All motorized golf carts, 4-wheelers, scooters, and handicapped mobility scooters may be used in the camping areas. All must be maintained to a safe operating speed not to exceed 10 mph. Operators must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license except handicapped operators. The use of motorized golf carts, 4-wheelers, and scooters is for transportation purposes only, not for entertainment purposes.
    A. All the noted units, except handicapped mobility scooters, will not access the road that runs directly behind the main grandstands or in front of the speedway/fair office. No access will be allowed, at any time, in the pit area.
    B. During the Juniata County Fair, no motorized golf carts, 4-wheelers, or scooters will be allowed on the fairgrounds, except those being used by J.C.A.S. Fair Board Members. Handicapped mobility scooters are permitted.
    C. A $10.00 yearly fee will be required along with current liability Insurance. Proof of the liability insurance must be given to the fair/speedway office for our records.

  11. All trash must be placed in the dumpster located at the back of the camping area. Positively no waste dumps on JCAS property. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED!

  12. Possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages are subject to the Laws of Pennsylvania. Under no circumstances are any alcoholic beverages to be left behind.

  13. JCAS management reserves the right to limit space taken by campers. No alterations to the existing ground are permitted.

  14. JCAS reserves the right to refuse entrance to any camper and/or renewal for any reason.

  15. JCAS assumes no responsibility for damage, theft, or loss of any kind, to any and all property of campers. Any damage to JCAS property will be assessed to the responsible party or parties. JCAS hopes that all camping guests have a safe and enjoyable experience.

  16. Dogs are welcome but must always be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Dogs are NOT permitted in any area that requires a general admission ticket to enter, including the grandstand and infield areas.

  17. No refunds will be issued for camping.

  18. Due to Port Royal Borough Code, you may not come into the field any earlier than noon the day before a race and must be out by noon the day after. The field will be locked at noon the day after the race and any remaining campers will be towed at the owner’s expense.

  19. All campers must be pulled straight in or backed in, no boxing of campers.

*Failure to follow any of the above rules will result in camping privileges being suspended for 1 year and no payments will be refunded. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
