Impending Weather Cancels Saturday's Steel Palace Showdown at Port Royal
By Mike Warren, WOO Late Model Series PR (Port Royal, PA) -- With impending heavy rain expected during race time in the Port Royal, PA area, and with fans and drivers in mind, World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model and Port Royal Speedway officials have decided to cancel’s Saturday’s Steel Palace Showdown.
The decision comes after working closely with Meteorologist Wayne Mahar from Precision Weather Service and monitoring the local weather for the past 24 hours.
The event will not be made up, as Series and track officials could not come to an agreement on a makeup date.
The Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet will continue its high-octane show on Tuesday, May 23 at Stateline Speedway in Busti, NY.
